Spain’s Gas Natural Fenosa has slowed its enquiry for a small-scale LNG carrier that can also serve as a bunker vessel.
Industry sources following the business say Gas Natural is still trying to quantify customer interest and potential offtake for the unit and has not shortlisted any shipowners as yet.
The sources say the utility, which this week announced it is shifting its legal headquarters from Barcelona to Madrid amid the fallout from the bid for independence by the Spanish region of Catalonia, has been looking at one of the 7,500-cbm LNG newbuildings contracted by Stolt-Nielsen at Keppel Singmarine for the business.
