A Chevron-controlled LNG carrier moved into place this week to lift the first cargo from Australia’s newest liquefaction project, ending start-up delays at the $34bn Wheatstone LNG.

The 160,000-cbm Asia Vision (built 2014) is berthed at the facility west of Onslow on the northwest coast of Australia.

Tracking data also show two Chevron sisterships, the Asia Energy (built 2014) and Asia Integrity (built 2017), have been idling off the coast near the new plant in the past few days.
