Containership giant CMA CGM has selected a dual fuel option for its nine large boxship newbuildings in China which will see the vessels use LNG as a fuel.

Marseille-headquartered CMA CGM announced its long awaited decision on its nine 22,000-teu vessels at the COP23 in Bonn, Germany and effectively becomes the first large boxship owner operating containerships on long haul deepsea routes to opt for LNG fuelling.
