Sovcomflot ups LNG-fuelled aframax order by two

Russia’s Sovcomflot (SCF Group) has upped its tally of LNG-fuelled aframax tanker newbuildings at Hyundai Heavy Industries to six.

TradeWinds understands that the company has declared two optional 114,000-dwt vessels from a string it is holding at the South Korean shipyard.

The newbuildings, which are part of the owner’s Green Funnel project and are being built at HHI’s Samho shipyard subsidiary, are due to be delivered in 2019.
