GasLog is hot favourite to net time charter business for an LNG carrier from Statoil.
Brokers and LNG market players close to the Peter Livanos-controlled shipowner are tipping it ahead of other shortlisted candidates, including Maran Gas Maritime, TMS Cardiff Gas and Thenamaris, to supply a vessel for the three to five-year time charter.
But some observers feel that Dynagas, whose vessel is scheduled to be redelivered by Statoil next year, could be running a close second for the work.
