An Excelerate Energy floating storage and regasification unit arrived off Moheshkhali Island, near Cox's Bazar in Bangladesh, on Tuesday with the country's first cargo of LNG.
The FSRU Excellence (built 2005) is the centrepiece of an LNG import project developed by state energy company Bangladesh Oil, Gas & Mineral Corp (Petrobangla) and US-based Excelerate — with funding from the International Finance Corp — that has been many years in the making.
