GMLP is paying around $390m for the vessel, which is due to begin a decade-long charter to Jordan early next year.
The Golar Eskimo is nearing completion at Samsung Heavy Industries in advance of its scheduled delivery later this month.
GMLP said it will finance the deal with cash on hand, a $220m loan from Golar LNG and the assumption of outstanding bank debt on the vessel of $162.8m.
