Belgian LNG shipowner, regasification and FLNG player Exmar said the grouping of companies plans to take a final investment decision (FID) on the Douglas Channel LNG project in the fourth quarter after all creditor claims were settled and a plan of arrangement completed.
The consortium has also executed agreements with the Haisla Nation on land and water tenure and another 20-year deal with Pacific Northern Gas on pipeline capacity to supply gas to the project.
