WesPac Midstream and partner Clean Marine Energy (CME) said today that they struck the deal with the US builder’s Conrad Orange Shipyard in Texas.

The unit will be used to fuel LNG-fuelled ships owned by Saltchuk Resources-controlled Tote, which operates in the US cabotage trades protected by the US Jones Act.

The 2,200-cbm barge will be delivered in 2016. It will be outfitted with a Mark II Flex containment system by France’s Gaztransport & Technigaz (GTT).
