State-run Korea Gas Corp (Kogas) is lining up an LNG carrier order at domestic shipyards.
The world's largest LNG importer is plotting newbuilding and vessel maintenance deals as part of efforts to help struggling Korean shipbuilders through the slump, its boss said.
President Lee Seung-hoon told the Yonhap news agency it will move forward the schedule for contracting two new ships to the first half of next year.
