Bidding has closed for companies interested in providing a floating storage and regasification unit for Benin.
The project would supply gas to the West African republic’s current and planned power plants, and potentially export to regional buyers.
The Ministry of Mines, Energy and Water floated a request for proposals to source and deliver LNG, as well as select a terminal location, its configuration and an FSRU.
