Japanese shipowner MOL and vessel partner Cosco Shipping LNG Investment (Shanghai) gathered in South Korea this week to name the first of three Arc7 sistership LNG carriers for Russia’s Yamal LNG project.
Hull No 2424, the 172,600-cbm LNG newbuilding Vladimir Rusanov, is set to leave DSME early in the new year. The vessel will take what is termed “the southern route” via the Suez Canal and northern Europe to Murmansk before heading for ice trials in the Kara Sea.
