This year is expected to be the one when the LNG industry sees a wealth of new projects sanctioned, many of which are still chasing or in the process of trying to finalise sales deals with buyers.
Independent industry consultant Andy Flower said the total volume of new liquefaction capacity, which project sponsors have said they will take a final investment decision on this year, currently amounts to 270 million tonnes per annum.
