The stability of long-term natural gas prices makes LNG bunkering an attractive option for shipowners, says an executive with a US-based shipowner TOTE.

Peter Keller, executive vice president of TOTE and chairman of LNG bunkering trade group SEA\LNG, added that he sees LNG bunkering first penetrating point-to-point trades for containerships and car carriers. But LNG fuelling will be adopted to the wider fleet over time.
