Australia’s Woodside has launched a hunt for an LNG bunker vessel (LNGBV) as it pursues plans with partners to develop a series of large LNG-fuelled bulkers as part of the Green Corridor project.
Those following the business closely say the enquiry is for an LNGBV of about 20,000 cbm. It needs to be big enough to supply the ships of newcastlemax size and above that are being designed to transport coal and iron ore from Dampier in north-west Australia to China.
