Maersk Tankers has launched a commercial academy for its chartering staff to help them outperform market by making the best use of data and technology.

Headed by chief commercial officer Claus Gronborg, the initiative is connected to the shipowner’s Taking Lead strategy.

The training began in 2016 with the first round set to be completed in June this year, an event that will see the company’s 30 chartering staff from Singapore, Houston and Copenhagen under one roof.
