Hamburg Sud is taking a Florida produce distributor to court over unpaid bills and a bad check.
The Maersk-owned boxship company sued Karembri Distributors, officer Enrique Padilla and others for $1.1m alleging it was not paid for transporting butternut squash from South America to the US earlier this year.
The complaint alleges Padilla arranged for the shipments, but never paid.
