A director at Turkish tanker owner Palmali Shipping's bankrupt Russian unit is facing a tax evasion court case.

The unnamed executive is accused of hiding RUB 122m ($1.83m) by overvaluing the company's profit, PortNews reported.

The allegations relate to corporate income tax in its 2010-2011 statements.

The assets of the Russian subsidiary were reassessed earlier this year as worth RUB 2.5bn.
