Malaysia’s PDZ Holdings has been forced to charter slots on third-party vessels after the arrest of one of its containerships.
The company was served with a warrantfor the 700-teu PDZ Mewah (built 1993) by Dan-Bunkering (Singapore) for supplying bunker fuel, but the amount outstanding was not disclosed.
The ship is anchored in Malaysia’s Pasir Gudang.
PDZ said the operational impact was expected to be minimal due to the slot charters.
