DryShips said it plans to fight a class action lawsuit filed against the New York-listed shipowner and two executives.
The statement comes a day after shareholder Maxime Hodges filed a case alleging that the Greek company's fundraising deal with Mark Bistricer's Kalani Investments is illegal.
Chief executive George Economou and president Anthony Kandylidis are also defendents in the litigation filed by New York law firm Pomerantz.
