Korean start-up SM Line is launching next month with 12 containerships.
The company said on Monday it would be starting routes linking Thailand, Vietnam and South Korea in March.
It was previously reported to be running seven vessels of up to 2,500 teu on these intra-Asia trades.
SM was formed when its parent group Samla Midas bought the Asia to US business of collapsed Hanjin Shipping.
