PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has resigned as the accountant of bankrupt US owner International Shipholding Corporation (ISH).

ISH said the company had not performed an audit of its 2016 financial statements and there had been no disagreements between the two sides.

PwC's 2015 report included an explanatory paragraph regarding substantial doubt about the company’s ability to continue as a going concern.

ISH filed for voluntary bankruptcy restructuring in January.
