The merger of Hapag-Lloyd and UASC has reportedly suffered a delay due to concerns over Qatar's backing.
The German owner and banks want to know that the Middle East state is committed to UASC over the long-term, sources cited by Reuters said.
They are concerned Qatar could lower its stake in the combined group, leaving it open to rival lines snapping up shares.
