The Panama Canal Authority said a Cosco-owned ship became the largest vessel both in size and capacity to transit the new set of expanded locks since they were inaugurated in June 2016.

The 13,092-teu Cosco Development, which measures 366 metres long and 48.2 metres in beam (1200 feet by 158 feet), fit through the Cocoli locks as it prepares to head to the Atlantic.
