Maersk Line has drawn up contingency plans to deal with any adverse impact arising from the insolvency of Rickmers Holding.

The Danish carrier says the plan will be implemented should “unexpected developments occur”, to minimise the potential impact on its customers’ cargo.

Maersk operates 18 containerships that are chartered from companies either owned or managed by Rickmers, including eight 13,568-teu vessels that are part of its important Asia to Europe service.
