Ocean Alliance, the boxship joint venture between four major liner operators, may upset the supply-demand balance in the containership market as it tries to grab more market share or seeks to sell vessels, says consultancy SeaIntel.

Ocean Alliance, which includes CMA CGM, COSCO, Evergreen and OOCL, has orders on tap representing just over 12% fleet growth, SeaIntel says. That is well above other containership alliances.
