Idan Ofer’s Eastern Pacific Shipping has added feeder containership newbuildings to its growing fleet.
The Singapore-based shipowner has negotiated with Zhejiang Ouhua Shipbuilding to construct two 2,700-teu geared vessels for delivery in 2018.
TradeWinds is told that Eastern Pacific signed for the pair of boxships a few months ago but the deal was never reported. It has not been disclosed whether the contract includes options.
