Qatar Navigation (Milaha) has moved into the classic panamax boxship sector with the acquisition of its largest containership to date.
The Doha-based company has bought the 3,768-teu HS Chopin (built 2007) from Lomar Deutschland in a deal valued at around $8.25m.
The vessel will become the largest in the Milaha fleet, which currently comprises 11 owned and chartered ships of between 500 teu and 2,800 teu.
