Danish shipping and oil giant AP Moller-Maersk has posted a loss for the second quarter, but containership arm Maersk Line returned to profit.

The net deficit to 30 June was $264m, down from a profit of $118m in the same period last year.

Revenue grew to $9.6bn from $8.86bn, but depreciation, amortisation and impairment costs rose to $1.85bn against $1.29bn
