Euroseas will buy two feeder containerships from Euromar, the joint venture set up with private equity firms. Euroseas, which will also get two purchase options, will also buy out the remaining stake in the joint venture.

The deal includes the EM Athens and EM Oinousses, both 2,506-teu and both built in 2000.

Euroseas will also have purchase options on two other ships, 2,556-teu EM Corfu (built 2001) and 5,600-teu Akinada Bridge (built 2001), until 30 September, 2017.
