SITC International Holdings has reportedly headed to China for more newbuildings.

The Hong Kong-listed owner is said by Clarksons to have contracted two 2,700-teu boxships at Jiangsu New Yangzijiang.

The units will be delivered in 2019. No price was given.

Another report said the deal was for four vessels.

SITC has been contacted for comment.

In August, the company announced a $112m order for six new feeder container vessels in Korea.

It said it had signed up for two 1,011-teu ships at Dae Sun Shipbuilding & Engineering in May for a combined $34m, but this went unreported at the time.
