The Mexican navy has seized cocaine found in six suitcases attached to the hull of a Borealis Maritime-owned boxship.
Local media said the 285kg haul was discovered below the waterline on the 1,819-teu Cap Palliser (built 2007) at Lazaro Cardenas after a tip-off.
The vessel had arrived from Puerto Quetzal in Guatemala on 30 December, and was destined for Long Beach in the US.
