The Hawaii Department of Transportation (DOT) has begun building Honolulu Harbor's Kapalama Container Terminal, the centerpiece of the state's Harbor Modernization Plan.
"This will support our local economy while ensuring the continued flow of cargo to our communities through this distribution hub,” Gov. David Ige said.
The project will entail shuffling some spaces for two US shipowners while a third one comes in.
