Hamburg Sud chief executive Arnt Vespermann broke with over 150 years of tradition in Copenhagen today when he revealed detailed multi-year accounts for the company.

The numbers, which Vespermann and his predecessors have spent generations keeping a secret, were projected on a giant screen at new owner AP Moller-Maersk's capital markets day at the Copenhagen Opera house.

Despite the company's history under private ownership, the executive gave a positive assessment of being part of a stock listed group.
