The New York Shipping Exchange (NYSHEX) appointed four new board members from outside the company as part of its to drive to bolster shipping industry confidence in trading freight space online.
NYSHEX says the company's existing five-member board of directors will be supplemented with two shipper members, representing cargo holders or freight forwarders, and two vessel owners.
The shipper members include Bjorn Jensen, vice president of global logistics for Electrolux and Jochen Gutschmidt, head of global logistics procurement at Nestle.
