Mozambique owner Transmaritima is plotting a new coastal shipping service.

The company has teamed up with French logistics group Peschaud, APA reported.

According to state-controlled Radio Mozambique, Peschaud plans to invest $10m on reviving the local trades.

“We are very proud at the trust which Transmaritima and the Mozambican authorities have placed in us and we shall put everything in motion so that this operation takes place under the best of conditions,” said Peschaud chairman Cristophe Peschaud.
