Taiwan's Yang Ming has announced a new boxship service linking Japan to Malaysia and Vietnam.

The JMV (Japan-Malaysia-Vietnam) run will start on 12 April in Hong Kong.

Four 3,200-teu units will also call at Osaka, Kobe, Nagoya, Yokohama, Tokyo, Singapore, Port Kelang, Singapore, Cai Mep and Shekou.

Meanwhile, Hong Kong's Gold Star Line (GSL) said it had launched its GCX service which connects China with ports in Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Middle East and South East Asia.
