Global Ship Lease (GSL) has diversified its charterer portfolio to include Danish containership giant Maersk Line.
The new relationship has seen Maersk take GSL’s 8,063-teu OOCL Ningbo (built 2004) on a potential two-year charter.
The ship, which will be renamed GSL Ningbo, will initially be fixed for between two and 12 months, with a subsequent option for an additional 12-month extension at Maersk’s option.
