The state-owned Port of Tallinn will soon sign a 10-year agreement with the government for two lines connecting the mainland to Saaremaa and Hiiumaa islands.

The government will pay EUR 200m ($253.2m) over the contract period, which is EUR 60m less than the competing offer.

Port of Tallinn's subsidiaries OU TS Laevad and OU TS Shipping will build four ferries by October 2016 in order to serve the route.
