Alistair Eagles will be the company’s new boss from 7 May as Ole Frie steps down from his position as chairman.

Eagles was part of the original team that founded Seatruck in 1996 and he worked as managing director of Irish Sea operations over the last six years.

The 44-year-old new CEO holds a degree in transport management from Loughborough University.

Clipper’s Irish division made a profit in 2013 for the first time since 2006 and Seatruck said it is now “well placed for the future”.
