Matson reported strong growth in third-quarter net income and revenue as its expedited China service logged strong freight rates and the shipowner saw increased business in Alaska and Hawaii.
The Honolulu-based liner operator and logistics firm reported net income of $41.5m, up 93% from a year ago, on revenue growth of 23% to $544.3m.
Shipping revenue led the growth, jumping 35% to $444.8m.
