Danish ro-ro owner DFDS has enjoyed a record year in 2015 and is expecting better things in 2016.

Net profit in the fourth quarter was DKK 205m ($30.96m), up from DKK 11m in the same period a year ago.

Revenue grew to DKK 3.32bn versus DKK 3.05bn in 2014, while the full-year profit reached DKK 1.01bn against DKK 434m.

It said the result was mainly due to improved capacity utilisation in the English Channel, higher freight and passenger volumes, and more efficient operations, including the installation of scrubbers.
