Korea's Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) has secured its future by clearing the last hurdle in its race to restructure its operations.
The company said on Thursday it had signed an MoU to join Maersk Line and MSC's 2M vessel-sharing agreement (VSA) for containerships.
This completes a remarkable turnaround for the loss-making company, after it agreed charter-in reduction rates and rescheduled loan and bond terms to tackle its debt.
