Finland’s Containerships Group could receive funding from the European Union for its new dual-fuel containerships.
A deal for the first four 1,400-teu LNG vessels has now been signed, the company said, following a switch of shipyard from China’s Yangzhou Guoyu.
TradeWinds has reported the order was being lined up at Guangzhou Wenchong in China, with two options attached.
The ships will now be delivered during 2018.
