China Cosco Holdings Co (CCHC) has seen its first-half loss top $1bn in tough boxship markets.
The company posted a net deficit of CNY 7.21bn ($1.08bn) to 30 June, against a restated profit of CNY 1.97bn in the same six months last year.
Revenue was CNY 30.9bn from CNY 29.92bn 12 months ago.
CCHC is now the containership division of state giant CoscoCS, which merged the interests of Cosco and China Shipping Group earlier this year.
