CMA CGM's short-sea line OPDR is cooperating with Spain's Boluda in the Canary Islands.
The strategic alliance covers the islands of Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and La Palma, boasting the fastest transit times in the market from Tilbury, Rotterdam and Hamburg, the owners claim.
The companies will offer two sailings per week to Lanzarote. The other two islands are served once a week.
"This newly formed partnership does not only underline Boluda’s and OPDR’s ability of adapting quickly in a competitive market, but also their roles as two of the leading companies in the short sea shipping sector," OPDR said.
