Statoil has extended a charter for a Mokster emergency response and recovery vessel (ERRV) for another 18 months.

The Norwegian shipowner said the 2,000-dwt Stril Poseidon (built 2003) will stay on the energy major’s payroll until July 2018.

It has been operating as a field survey vessel in the Haltenbanken area since its delivery.

“Mokster is pleased to continue to serve Statoil in their emergency response activities and is looking forward to continue to develop the services in the time to come,” the company said.
