Rem Offshore and Solstad Offshore's Solship Invest 1 have officially combined in a bid to survive awful offshore markets.
Solstad said the merger, announced in October, contributes to the much-needed consolidation of the fragmented OSV industry.
It creates a modern, high-end fleet of 61 vessels including 26 CSVs, 16 anchor-handlers and 19 platform supply vessels (PSVs), it added, as well as saving money through synergies and opening up new opportunities.
