Ocean Yield has finalised a stop-gap contract for one of its offshore vessels while it looks to thrash out a longer-term solution.

Oslo-listed Ocean Yield announced earlier this week it had issued a cancellation notice to EMAS Chiyoda Subsea for the 11,000-dwt Lewek Connector (ex-AMC Connector, built 2011).

Now Ezra, which held a 40% stake in EMAS, has agreed to hire the vessel on a four-month bareboat deal at $40,000 per day, Ocean Yield says.
