A quiet period of fixing in the North Sea OSV spot market has put rates under pressure, particularly for anchor-handlers (AHTSs).

Brokers reported that Chevron took a quartet of Viking Supply Ships AHTSs on Monday to move the Blackford Dolphin rig at between £13,000 ($16,600) and £16,000 per day, about £3,000 higher than last week.

But the market has been quiet since, with nine vessels now free for work in Norway and nine also open in the UK.
